Well, it’s pretty obvious that I am a huge huge fan of Hoi Tong restaurant.
I’ve been playing around with the idea of putting together videos of my favorite restaurants – particularly Chinese restaurants. So when I asked around about hiring a videographer who could work with Chinese chefs – my friends at Roger Media and producer Ben Lu went above and beyond with the following 23 minute video.
My presentation skills give new meaning to “wooden” – but food critic Alex Gill chef Angus An really are awesome with bringing their knowledge and appreciation of classic Cantonese cuisine.
But most of all – it is an ode to Chef Leung Yiu Tong. A man of huge talent and generosity, whose food we are all lucky enough to enjoy on a regular basis (for now… he’s 81!).
Let’s dine out more often and support all chef’s whose hard work and dedication we take so easily for granted.
